BitFlow introduceert nieuwe generatie SDK voor CoaXPress frame grabbers

In support of the highly successful launch of its CoaXPress™ frame grabbers, BitFlow has introduced SDK 5.70, a new flexible application framework that will allow system integrators to develop customized machine vision applications quickly and easily in the emerging CoaXPress standard.

"The main purpose of the SDK 5.70 release is to support our Karbon-CXP and Cyton CoaXPress frame grabbers, although users of other BitFlow frame grabbers can download it if they're working on a new project under development," said Donal Waide, Director of Sales for BitFlow, Inc. "This SDK has been extensively tested in Beta with a variety of CoaXPress cameras, so we are very confident in releasing it to our customers."

Under the hood, BitFlow SDK 5.70 has been updated and enhanced in several areas, aimed at maintaining its status as the most versatile and reliable vendor-independent SDK (software development kit) available from a frame grabber manufacturer.  BitFlow Karbon-CXP frame grabbers were one of the world's first to incorporate the CXP standard for moving high-speed serial data from a camera to a frame grabber. BitFlow Cyton™ frame grabbers are slated for general release later in April, although early adopters are already integrating this innovative design into their vision systems with excellent results.

CoaXPress is an asymmetric high-speed point to point serial communication standard that sends video, communication, control and power via standard coaxial cables over relatively long lengths with a downlink of up to 625 Mb/s per cable for video data transmitted up to 40 meters. For communication from host to device, there is a 20 Mb/s uplink that allows for control and configuration data. Links may be aggregated to provide multiples of the single coax bandwidth typically to 2,400 Mb/s (4 cable). Power is provided over the cable at up to 13 Watts per cable.

CoaXPress combines the elegant simplicity of coaxial cable with state-of- the-art, high-speed serial data technology. The combination of these two highly desirable features - standard coaxial cable and "express" speed - provides a revolutionary leap forward in high speed image and data transmission.
