3D Vision voor 2D software - 3D Express
AQSense added plenty of new functionality to it's 3D Express tool
3DExpress base package:
- Acquisition Drivers
- COG (center of gravity) Laser Detector
- Presence Detection
- Static Linear Calibration
- Plane Fitting / Alignment
- C/C++ Interface
- .NET Interface
- Sherlock plug in
3DExpress add-ons:
- Lens Distortion Calibration
- SAL3D Peak Detector (laser detector)
- Linear Metric Calibration
- Match3D Alignment
The 3DExpress documentation describes all the new functionality in detail. Further you find a short summary for each add-on.
Lens distortion tool: same as in SAL3D, it allows to remove the lens distortion using a dots or chess pattern.
Peak detector tool: same as in SAL3D, it allows to have more resolution and accuracy compared with the COG on the base package. This peak detector also allows:
- Extract the laser width, that can be used to generate a width map (scattering applications). This (also for the COG). This additional information can be also mapped over the COP data
- Extract the laser intensity, that can be used to generate a light map (also for the COG). This additional information can be also mapped over the COP data
- Split the camera image in two regions, to apply the peak detector independently in both of them (also for the COG).
Linear Metric calibration: compare to the static available in the base package it allows:
- Work with tilted lasers
- Allows to combine information from two lasers and a single camera (with 2 ROIs)
- Does not require a good alignment of the pattern
- Estimate the encoder step
Match3D Alignment: with this add-on two additional outputs are possible:
Disparity map (2D comparing of two COPs after alignment)
Aligned ZMap (see the benefits)
