Câbles longue distance chez Components Express

Why is it important?

Currently, the best passive USB3 cables on the market are unable to surpass lengths greater than 5M. There are other active cables on the market, but they are not backwards compatible to USB2, and are unable to plug & play in a standard USB environment. These other active solutions offer insufficient wattage for the camera and expensive optical solutions do not support power over the cable and are very delicate. Their performance instability leads to unreliable performance resulting in image errors due to the cabling.

The Solution:

CEI's USB3 BitMaxx cables offers the Industry's First STABLE Plug & Play active cable solution for USB Vision, supporting full 5 gig USB3 throughput and power delivery up to 20 meters in length with full USB2 backward compatibility. Designed with the emphasis for durability and dependability using high grade copper and robust shielding to protect against EMI, CEI's USB3 BitMaxx cables provides excellent and reliable performance. Available with a variety of connector and cable choices including right angle exits and Robotic grade cable. Each assembly undergoes rigorous testing and verification before leaving our facility.

Application?

USB3, USB3 Vision, Industrial USB3 applications that require long distance cabling.

The first small batch of the new Shark stainless steel housing is now available ex stock in three lengths. The camera attachment is based on the patented Quicklock/Heatguide principle as in the Orca housing and thus guarantees a good thermal connection. Cameras up to a cross section of max. 62x62mm (depending on corner radius) and lenses up to max. 85mm diameter can be used. Like the Dolphin, the Shark is built in a consistent hygiene design and meets the protection class regularly required in the food industry with IP69K. The seals are resistant to most of the aggressive cleaners used in these industries, e.g. Ecolab P3 Topax. In addition to acrylic, other window materials such as germanium or BK7 glass are possible.

In February 2019, Beresheet, a small lunar lander built by Israeli non-profit SpaceIL was launched atop a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from Cape Canaveral, Florida.

Beresheet pushed free from the Falcon 9 about half an hour after launch, kicking off a 40-day journey to lunar orbit followed by another week before landing on the Moon, scheduled for landing today.

The all important images are being captured via the Beresheet’s camera system utilising a colour (RGB), 8-megapixel, Imperx Bobcat B3320C. It has a 60 x 80 degree field of view, and a resolution of 2488 x 3312 pixels. That’s a nice wide field of view with plenty of pixels, similar to the human eye.
